Tap a step — accent · mute · normal. The outer ring up top is the same thing: tap a tick there and it changes here too.
Delays the off-beats of the current subdivision. Needs an even subdivision — 8ths, 16ths, 32nds. Layers with an even step count swing with it.
Plays straight that many bars, then swings that many, and loops — so you practise flipping the feel cleanly. The circle tells you which one you're in.
Each layer lays its hits across the bar as evenly as the maths allows — a Euclidean rhythm, which is what nearly every traditional groove turns out to be. On the circle each layer is a ring, and its hits draw a shape. Drag a ring to turn it — the shape doesn't change, where it lands does. Tap a dot to accent it. Pick a kit below to load the layers.
Two ways to work against the click. Bounce trades two figures — subdivisions or rudiments — every few bars, so you practise the switch itself; the circle flips faces each trade. Ladder climbs the pulse from quarters up to 64ths and holds each rung. Only one runs at a time. For getting faster or slower, use Ramp next to Tap.
A steady count holds the pulse while two figures trade off every few bars. The sticking shows under the circle — accents are the filled notes, small letters are grace notes. It's a suggestion; flip it if you lead with your left. Turn off Play figures to keep just the count and play them yourself.
Climbs a rung every few bars. Subdivisions runs the pulse from quarters up to 64ths. Cross-rhythms climbs from a plain count up through 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11 across the bar — and back to nothing. Watch the shapes change as it goes.
This page keeps its own memory, locally — no account, no cloud. It reopens exactly where you left it, and the three memory keys hold a whole rig each: tempo, meter, accent pattern, drill, sound. Tap a key to recall it, hold it to store what's on screen. One slot per student, or per exercise.
Everything updates live while it's running — tempo, subdivision, swing, accents, all mid-count. Built for teaching.
